Fall 2008: YOUNG PEOPLE'S CONCERTS, Grades 4 – 8 Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra NEW JERSEY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA Let the Orchestra introduce you to all the different instrument families of a symphony orchestra. The NJSO tells stories and shows emotions through music, including Benjamin Britten’s delightful Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra and Gioacchino Rossini’s famous Overture from William Tell. The Greater Newark Youth Orchestra (GNYO) performs side-by-side with the NJSO in selected pieces. Hear the composer’s interpretation of some of the most famous stories from One Thousand and One Nights and discover the Arabian tales for yourself! Using masks, puppets and magic, the Enchantment Theatre Company will bring these stories to life.
