Timmerman Mark Timmerman
Second Bassoon
 

MARK TIMMERMAN, a native of Davenport, Iowa, is a member of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and spent last season as Principal Bassoon of the Metropolitan Opera in New York. He is a graduate of The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and also studied at Temple University and the University of Michigan.

An accomplished orchestral player, he has performed with the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, National Symphony, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic and Hawaii Symphony.

Music festival appearances have taken Mark to Japan, the former Soviet Union, Italy and Brazil, and he participated for three summers in the Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont, including several Music from Marlboro U.S. tours and an appearance on the St. Paul Sunday Morning radio program.
