Music has the power to enrich and inspire music lovers of all ages—and who knows that better than you! On February 24, enjoy as Music Director Xian Zhang leads a thrilling NJSO concert featuring Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto and Elgar’s Enigma Variations, then participate in #OrchestraYou, the NJSO’s pro-am orchestra experience.

After the concert, it’s your turn in the spotlight! Find your flute, tune up your trombone or dust off your double bass and join forces with Education & Community Engagement Conductor Jeffrey Grogan, other audience members and NJSO players right in the lobby of NJPAC, in our nationally-recognized Accent event.

Everyone who plays a standard orchestral instrument can participate in #OrchestraYou. Conductor Jeff Grogan will lead #OrchestraYou players in a first—an excerpt from the program’s opening work, Verdi’s Nabucco Overture, giving you the chance to hear, then perform, a major work! A little rehearsal, a little performance and a whole lot of fun!

Advance registration for participants is required by Feb 17; spectators are invited to stay and applaud this talented group.

This is an NJSO Accent event

Inspired by the concerts and designed to inspire you, NJSO Accents are pre- or post-concert events that complement the musical encounters and provide audience members with more opportunities to personally connect with the concert experience. More Accent events.
