2015 Cone Institute Chronicles: NYC sessions

The NJSO Edward T. Cone Composition Institute composers, joined by Steven Mackey, ventured into New York City on the Institute's second day.

The composers first met with Boosey & Hawkes Director of Promotion Steven Lankenau and Marketing & Public Relations Manager Patrick Gullo to discuss current pracitices in publishing.

They then met with New Music USA President & CEO Ed Harsh and Composer Advocate Frank J. Oteri, the latter of whom is also Senior Editor of New Music Box.

Following a disussion with Q2 Managing Producer Alex Ambrose at the studio offices Q2 shares with its parent station, WQXR, each composer sat down with the producer for a one-on-one interview to be aired in the future.

At the end of the evening, the group gathered at the home of NJSO President & CEO James Roe with a number of industry leaders for a special reception in Institute composers' honor.
