Hear holiday chamber music at neighborhood concerts

Hear NJSO chamber ensembles perform winter and holiday favorites at several neighborhood concerts this month:

 

Sat, Dec 3, at 2 pm | Plainfield Public Library (free)

The Plainfield Public Library hosts a free holiday chamber music concert on Saturday, December 3, at 2 pm. An NJSO duo of violinist Xin Zhao and violist Lucy Corwin will perform classic winter and holiday favorites.

This free public event is made possible through a continuing partnership between the NJSO and PSEG Foundation to help celebrate diversity within communities and connect families with unique cultural experiences.

Wed, Dec 7, at 12 pm | Atrium at Harborside Financial Center (free)

A string quartet performs a lunchtime holiday program at the Atrium at Harborside Financial Center in Jersey City. The free public event features NJSO violinists Naomi Youngstein and Minji Kwon, violist Brett Deubner and cellist Hyewon Kim.

Sat, Dec 17, at 8 pm | Stevens Institute of Technology

Stevens Institute of Technology invites the Hoboken community to attend a celebratory holiday concert on the university campus on Saturday, December 17, at 8 pm. An NJSO chamber ensemble performs the vivacious “Winter” movement from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons alongside other favorites.

The performance takes place in DeBaun Auditorium in Edwin A. Stevens Hall on the Stevens Institute of Technology campus. General-admission tickets are $20; student and senior tickets are $10. $50 supporter tickets include preferred seating and a post-concert reception.

The hall is located at 24 Fifth Street, Hoboken, 07030.
