MUSICIAN INSIGHT

Susan Gellert, violin

“People I have talked to have said that CasablancaSusan_Gellert_-_coda.jpg is one of their all-time favorite movies. It’s been great to play the score with the film—it literally brings the music to the forefront, and it heightens the drama for the audience. The conductor did a fabulous job keeping track of the timing, which was the most challenging part of the performance for us musicians. These concerts have given us the opportunity to experience the film in the moment.”
