WWFM’s Rachel Katz was on the scene when more than 300 students from six El Sistema-inspired music-instruction programs across New Jersey dazzled family, friends and audience members at the El Sistema New Jersey Alliance’s second annual Fiddle-and-Fa-La-La-Fest at NJPAC in Newark earlier this month.
Katz spoke with student performers and program leaders for an in-depth look at the partnership between six El Sistema-inspired programs—including NJSO CHAMPS—on her “A Tempo” radio program.
