The NJSO is counting on you to join the #UNselfie movement and help us kick-off the giving season! #GivingTuesday is a day for everyone, everywhere, to give! This worldwide movement aims to help redefine the giving spirit of the holiday season, and this year’s celebration will be held on November 29, 2016. Through your generosity the NJSO can bring the power of live music to as many as 140,000 New Jerseyans this season, including more than 60,000 individuals who will experience our education and community engagement initiatives. We hope #GivingTuesday inspires you to take collaborative action to improve your community, give back in better, smarter ways to the NJSO and the other causes you support and help create a better world. Together, we can harness the power of social media to create a global moment dedicated to giving around the world!
Last year, more than 45,000 organizations in 71 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities. If music matters to you, join the movement and help get out the give on November 29!
- Is about ordinary people coming together doing extraordinary things. Giving back is a fundamental principle that guides us and you don’t have to be a billionaire to do it!
- Celebrates giving and starts a conversation about ways to give more, give smarter and put personal philanthropy back into the giving season.
- Proves that the holidays can be about both giving and giving back. It celebrates how we can do more with our money than just shop—and that we can give as good as we get.
- Is a great time to make your gift to your NJSO and enjoy the benefits of your philanthropy all season long!
