Preschool Program

A comprehensive, age-appropriate introduction to the magic of orchestral music—just for preschoolers!

Each season through the New Jersey Symphony Preschool Program, nearly 2,000 of our tiniest patrons begin their lifelong love of live music with an interactive introduction to the magic of the orchestra. Early-childhood specialists and music educators from Touch the Music, an New Jersey Symphony partner organization, visit preschool classrooms and provide students with a hands-on introduction to orchestral instruments and age-appropriate repertoire.

Students also enjoy a private performance by New Jersey Symphony musicians right in their classrooms and attend a specially designed New Jersey Symphony concert at NJPAC that features visual, auditory and participatory elements.

Book a program for your school:

The program is free for Newark preschool providers thanks to the generosity of New Jersey Symphony donors. Preschool providers outside of Newark can also participate on a fee-for-service basis. For questions and reservations, please contact education@njsymphony.org or 973.735.1733.
