Each season, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra holds several special events and fundraisers that raise more than $900,000 for our artistic, education and community engagement programs. Click on each of the events below for more information.

Your Annual Fund donation of $100 or more gives you access to many great events, including Open Rehearsals.



Opening Night Celebration

October 7, 2017 | Nearly 300 guests helped the NJSO celebrate the start of Xian Zhang’s spellbinding second season as Music Director of the NJSO at the Opening Night Celebration!  The enchanted night included a cocktail party before the concert and an exquisite dinner following the performance, along with opportunities to meet and mingle with Zhang, musicians and special guests.

Spring into Music Gala

April 14, 2018 | Join us at the annual spring benefit gala and enjoy an evening of music, laughter and fun. The event features a performance by Jason Alexander, a Tony Award-winning Broadway song-and-dance man. His concert with the NJSO brings a hilarious re-telling of his journey to and on the Broadway stage and features a program of great music from the theater along with comedy and audience interaction.


Art Strings Raffle

Drawing: June 25, 2018 | Art Strings combines the visual and performing arts to raise funds for the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s extensive music education and community engagement programs. The 2017-18 collection of violins will be posted soon.

Online and Silent Auction

April 2018 | The 2018 auction is open for bidding through April 14, and offers travel getaways, Broadway shows, musical performances, artwork and more!


New Hope Day Trip

April 29, 2018 | Explore the quaint town of New Hope, PA and enjoy a chamber concert featuring musicians of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Open to NJSO donors of $100 or more.

Tanglewood Music Festival Weekend

July 20–22, 2018 | Travel to the picturesque Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts to hear Emanuel Ax perform with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and tour local cultural and historical treasures. Open to NJSO donors of $100 or more.

Amadeus Circle: Aspen Music Festival Tour

August 13–19, 2018 | Connect with fellow Amadeus Circle members as we travel to Colorado’s Aspen Music Festival to see NJSO Music Director Xian Zhang conduct the Aspen Chamber Symphony, and take in the sights of this beautiful mountain town. Open to NJSO donors of $2,500 or more.

Amadeus Circle Travel Program

Members of the NJSO Amadeus Circle have the opportunity to attend special trips. Travel the world as a group of friends (or make new friends!) and experience fine dining, interesting tours and marvelous concerts.
