Join fellow NJSO patrons as we travel to the picturesque Berkshires to take in two performances (August 4 & 5 at 8 pm concerts) at the Tanglewood Music Festival. Over two nights, Hans Graf will lead the BSO and pianist Garrick Ohlsson in Chopin’s Piano Concertos Nos. 1 and 2, Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 3 and a theatrical presentation of Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
On the tour, we will visit Chesterwood—the country home, studio and gardens of America’s foremost sculptor of public monuments, Daniel Chester French, creator of the Minute Man and Abraham Lincoln for the Lincoln Memorial—as well as the Norman Rockwell Museum, which holds the largest and most significant collection of original Rockwell art, along with an array of studies, photographs and artifacts that reflect the evolution of the artist’s life and career.
This travel package includes transportation in a luxury motorcoach from Newark, overnight accommodations at the Crowne Plaza (Pittsfield, MA), meals, admissions and gratuities.
The NJSO Travel Program is open to NJSO Symphony Friend donors and Amadeus Circle members. Reservations are honored on a first come, first served basis, and must be accompanied by full payment and a completed reservation form.
