Eric Wyrick and Francine Storck discuss their upcoming duet with NJArts.net
Concertmaster Eric Wyrick and Principal Second Violinist Francine Storck have played together at the New Jersey Symphony for several decades, but they will be sharing the spotlight together when they perform J.S. Bach’s Double Concerto for Two Violins in the Xian Conducts Mozart program, May 16–18 in Princeton and Newark. They sat down with NJArts.net’s Courtney Smith to discuss their upcoming duet and the program while also sharing a little bit about their years of experience performing with each other at the Symphony.
The professional friendship between New Jersey Symphony principal violinists Francine Storck and Eric Wyrick goes back years. Decades, even. But who’s counting? “We’re not going to say how many,” says Wyrick with a laugh. Storck agrees. “It’s a richness of shared experiences,” she says, “but I can’t count the years.”
