WWFM The Classical Network airs the NJSO’s Opening Night concert on Friday, November 24, at 8 pm on 89.1 FM and www.wwfm.org. Music Director Xian Zhang leads the performance, recorded live at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark in October.

The Star-Ledger praised the “breathtaking” season opener, which featured pianist Jeremy Denk in Beethoven’s “Emperor” Piano Concerto. The program also includes Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique and the Overture to Beethoven’s The Creatures of Prometheus.
