Morristown Green reviews the New Jersey Symphony’s performance at the 41st Giralda Music & Arts Festival

June 23, 2025

After the event was held indoors the past two years, the 41st Giralda Music & Arts Festival was held outdoors again at Giralda Farms in Madison, with the New Jersey Symphony being the main attraction of the event. Ellen S. Wilkowe of Morristown Green was there to review it.

The New Jersey Symphony opened with The Star-Spangled Banner, drawing the crowd to its feet. The orchestra, conducted by Gregory D. McDaniel, followed with a crowd-pleasing program of patriotic and Broadway favorites, including Mozart’s Overture to The Magic Flute, Rossini’s Overture to William Tell, selections from Wicked, and works by Duke Ellington.
