NJSO quartet to feature at Devils' Opening Night

Oct 8, 2015

Prudential Center and the New Jersey Devils will drop the puck on the 2015–16 hockey season tomorrow, October 9, with a special red carpet entrance for players and an all-new 3D pre-game projection featuring live performers before the Devils host the Winnipeg Jets.

The Devils pre-game show, starting at 7 pm, will include an all-new 3D program featuring a live performance by an NJSO string quartet and the West Powelton Steppers Drill Team and Drum Line.

The team describes the 3D-projection experience:

Prudential Center and the Devils invested more than a half million dollars over the summer to improve the in-game experience for fans. After last season’s premiere of the 3D projection system, the team will introduce a new pre-game program, featuring live performers and inspired by a New Era of Devils Hockey that will debut opening night on the ice.

Technological enhancements in the arena will enable the game night production team to give fans a real-time look around different areas of the arena, including behind-the-scenes access to players. Improvements to the sound and lighting system will also help create an improved multi-media experience. The Devils will introduce a new host to engage fans throughout each game.

Devils Opening Night will start Friday afternoon with Devils Fan Fest on Championship Plaza beginning at 4 pm. Fans will also have the first chance to see Devils players, coaches and alumni arrive to the game on the Devils' red carpet.
