President & CEO Terry D. Loftis speaks about the New Jersey Symphony and the arts with NJArts.net

Aug 26, 2025

Since taking over as President & CEO of the New Jersey Symphony in February 2025, Terry D. Loftis has sought out to bring the Garden State’s premier orchestra to new heights, including plans to bring the Symphony’s brand to the next level and to expand their reach across New Jersey and beyond. He recently spoke to Courtney Smith of NJArts.net to discuss some of his plans for the Symphony and how the organization is adapting to the changing times that are happening in the arts industry.

There are a lot of wonderful attributes to this organization. There’s also a great deal of new opportunity and growth that we need to embrace and deploy, and we’re in a time where there are other factors swirling around all nonprofits, especially the arts. We’re being vigilant daily to see what might happen, because that’s the world we live in now.
