It’s time for Music at Moorland.

Set the date for a magical evening of family fun when the 12th annual Music at Moorland is held today, Thursday, June 27, at Moorland Farm in Far Hills.

As is done annually, the evening will feature an outdoor performance by the Grammy Award-winning New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and fireworks by Grucci of New York.

Presented by Sanofi US, the event benefits Somerset Medical Center. Event sponsors also include Open Road Auto Group, King’s Supermarkets and Peapack-Gladstone Bank.

“Music at Moorland brings together families from throughout our community for a wonderful summer evening of picnicking, world-class music and spectacular fireworks,” said John von Stade, co-chair of Music at Moorland. “Best of all, the event supports Somerset Medical Center, which generations of Central New Jerseyans rely on for health care services throughout their lives.”

NJSO [COO] Susan Stucker agreed.

“We are so pleased to again perform in this idyllic setting for the Somerset Hills community. The NJSO believes in the healing power of music—our musicians have performed numerous intimate chamber concerts for patients in medical facilities throughout the state, including Somerset Medical Center—and this annual concert affords the Orchestra the opportunity to bring our artistry to Far Hills while supporting this invaluable medical facility and its services.”

The curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. under the direction of Gemma New.
