Rick Steves’ upcoming collab with the New Jersey Symphony is highlighted by Discover Jersey Arts
This November, travel writer Rick Steves will be sharing his experiences of his travels in Europe in a unique way as he teams up with conductor Nicholas Hersh and the New Jersey Symphony to showcase his travels through orchestral music, travel footage and storytelling. Discover Jersey Arts’ Chris Lilljia spoke to an executive of the New Jersey Symphony staff to ask why the upcoming performances in Morristown and New Brunswick are a must-see for those that enjoy learning about Europe.
“It’s always a really cool experience when you're in a concert hall, and the music's just great, but having an amazing visual presentation helps audiences experience it in a very different way ... Audiences today are often glued to their smartphone and things like that. That visual aspect helps connect the audience to that experience, and instead of just imagining what Europe might look like, you're actually seeing the photos of Europe.”
