Concert Coda

FROM THE STAGE

Ann_Kossakowski2.jpg“I love John Pizzarelli—he’s a real musician’s musician. He is so highly skilled, but he doesn’t set himself apart from the other performers on stage, so there is a real mutual respect between him and the musicians, and his banter from the stage is hysterical.

“It was so great for the Orchestra to hear and support one of our beloved colleagues this weekend. (NJSO Principal Trombone Charles Baker is a member of the Salvation Army Montclair Citadel Band, which performed as a featured ensemble on the holiday concerts.) The band is such a huge part of who Charlie is, and to witness it was meaningful not only for me but also for all the members of the NJSO.”

Ann Kossakowski, violin
