IN THE NEWS

“Everything one could hope for from a guest conductor could be seen onstage at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank on Saturday, when Gerard Schwarz led the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra in an electrifying performance of Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5.”

FROM THE STAGE

“Each time I played the Goldmark In Spring, I liked it even more. It's unusual for me to play a piece by a composer I'd never before heard of and this piece was charming, challenging and fun to play. The Strauss Violin Concerto is a tour de force and we all beamed like proud parents over Eric's mastery. Shostakovich is one of my favorite composers and again, like the Goldmark, each performance of the Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5 was immensely satisfying. It is an astonishing musical and emotional journey. This was a very enjoyable week at work!”
Sarah Seiver, Cello
