It’s really great to have [in guest soloist David Krakauer] someone who can do everything—to play the Mozart Clarinet Concerto so beautifully and to also play such great klezmer music so well.
[That the concert is a benefit for the United Jewish Appeal] does add another level to the concert. [The Jewish Federation] does such great work. It’s nice to give back to [an organization] that has done so much, and it’s nice to be able to look out into the audience and see people who have worked so hard to make a better world.
