The New Jersey Symphony and New Jersey Ballet team up for two ‘groundbreaking’ programs

Conductor Constantine Kitsopoulos and the New Jersey Symphony put in two times the effort on this weekend in Morristown as they teamed up with the New Jersey Ballet to deliver two performances of Icons of American Ballet on March 20 & 21 and two performances of Sleeping Beauty on March 21 & 22 at the Mayo Performing Arts Center. James C. Taylor of NJ Advance Media reviewed the both of them.

The pairing of these two Jersey institutions in Morristown was worth the extra effort. Ballet, like most forms of theatrical performance, is just not the same without live accompaniment. This was made clear in both programs presented this weekend at the Mayo Performing Arts Center.
