Watch a Jersey Arts Culture Vultures preview of this weekend’s classic rock concerts featuring Michael Cavanaugh, the original star of Broadway’s Movin’ Out, in hits by Elton John and more. Culture Vultures chats with NJSO Associate Concertmaster Brennan Sweet, cellist Sarah Seiver and Director of Artistic Programming Patrick Chamberlain about the excitement of bringing legendary rock songs to life with full orchestra:

Cavanaugh will perform hits like “Tiny Dancer,” “Bennie and the Jets,” “Rocket Man,” “Live and Let Die,” “Pinball Wizard” and more in high-energy shows with the NJSO on Saturday, November 12, at 8 pm at NJPAC in Newark and Sunday, November 13, at 3 pm at the State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick.
