Youth Orchestra student gets to ‘Sesame Street’

Greater Newark Youth Orchestra percussionist Zachary Wu joined the “Sesame Street” gang on the show’s April 25 episode to demonstrate how different types of instruments produce their sounds.

As part of the episode “Great Vibrations,” Zach played the timpani to help “Sesame Street” character Abby Cadabby decide which instrument she would like to play.

Zach is a member of the top ensemble in the NJSO’s family of youth orchestras.
