Newark School of the Arts honors Jacques Lacombe

Newark_School_of_the_Arts_Gala_-_Jacques_web.jpgNJSO Music Director Jacques Lacombe was one of three of “Newark’s brightest luminaries” honored at the Newark School of the Arts’ 45th Anniversary Gala on Tuesday, April 23. Newark historian and Rutgers professor Clement A. Price and Newark Museum director Mary Sue Sweeney Price also received the honor. WBGO Jazz 88.3 President & CEO Cephas Bowles served as master of ceremonies for the evening.

Newark School of the Arts provides high-level training in the performing and visual arts for those with an interest in the arts, regardless of age, talent or financial resources. NSA is a family- and community-oriented school that has served 38,000 individuals since its inception and provides education for 500 students each week.
