The opening event of the New Jersey Symphony’s 101st season celebrated the pathbreaking art of Black composers past and present. Highlights from the event included a dinner prelude, the season opening concert featuring Robert Spano, Aaron Diehl and the Aaron Diehl Trio and an after-party.
This event marked the culmination of the New Jersey Symphony's centennial season with a pre-concert cocktail reception, the season finale concert featuring Joshua Bell and the world premiere of Daniel Bernard Roumain's Farah (Joy) for Voice and Orchestra and a post-concert gala dinner and Young Professionals after-party.

This event marked the first in-person Spring into Music Gala & Auction in three years, and celebrated the present and future of the Symphony with a performance by members of the New Jersey Symphony and the Youth Orchestra and a silent auction.

Our 2021 Lunar New Year Celebration was enjoyed across the globe with a week-long virtual festival and concert. Celebration sponsors and supporters enjoyed a VIP event featuring an exclusive performance by acclaimed guitarist Xuefei Yang and interviews with Xian Zhang, Bart Feller and Na-Young Baek.
The New Jersey Symphony held its virtual Spring into Music Gala & Online Auction this year, and we were delighted to keep our gala tradition going. More than 1,500 concertgoers and 200 dinner guests celebrated the Year of the Rat, as the New Jersey Symphony and Music Director Xian Zhang came together for the Orchestra’s Lunar New Year Celebration Gala. Attendees enjoyed a pre-concert festival with crafters, a variety of musical performances and cultural festivities. It was an unforgettable night of entertainment and fine dining!
The New Jersey Symphony held its annual Opening Night Celebration and honored an outstanding community member—Curtland E. Fields, President & CEO of the Turrell Fund and New Jersey Symphony Trustee. More than 300 guests enjoyed the celebration, with an incredible season-opening performance of Holst’s The Planets, paired with jaw-dropping NASA astronomical visuals in HD, along with symphonic classics conducted by Music Director Xian Zhang.
