Join Music Director Xian Zhang, your favorite orchestra musicians and legendary cellist Yo-Yo Ma for a night to remember, complete with a concert, reception, dinner and dessert after-party.
This event marked the first in-person Spring into Music Gala & Auction in three years, and celebrated the present and future of the Symphony with a performance by members of the New Jersey Symphony and the Youth Orchestra and a silent auction.
This event was to culminate the festive celebration the Year of the Tiger with an in-person performance and fundraiser. Unfortunately, the in-person event was cancelled as a result of a snowstorm that weekend.

Our 2021 Lunar New Year Celebration was enjoyed across the globe with a week-long virtual festival and concert. Celebration sponsors and supporters enjoyed a VIP event featuring an exclusive performance by acclaimed guitarist Xuefei Yang and interviews with Xian Zhang, Bart Feller and Na-Young Baek.
The New Jersey Symphony held its virtual Spring into Music Gala & Online Auction this year, and we were delighted to keep our gala tradition going. More than 1,500 concertgoers and 200 dinner guests celebrated the Year of the Rat, as the New Jersey Symphony and Music Director Xian Zhang came together for the Orchestra’s Lunar New Year Celebration Gala. Attendees enjoyed a pre-concert festival with crafters, a variety of musical performances and cultural festivities. It was an unforgettable night of entertainment and fine dining!
The New Jersey Symphony held its annual Opening Night Celebration and honored an outstanding community member—Curtland E. Fields, President & CEO of the Turrell Fund and New Jersey Symphony Trustee. More than 300 guests enjoyed the celebration, with an incredible season-opening performance of Holst’s The Planets, paired with jaw-dropping NASA astronomical visuals in HD, along with symphonic classics conducted by Music Director Xian Zhang.
