Brass quartet to play free concert at Rutgers-Newark

Nov 4, 2013

An NJSO brass quartet will give a free concert at Rutgers-Newark on Wednesday, November 6, at 5 pm. The event—“An Evening of Music & Art”—honors Rutgers student, alumni and employee veterans; the concert is open to the public.

NJSO Principal Trumpet Garth Greenup, trumpet Chris Stingle, trombonist Vernon Post and bass trombonist Vincent Belford will perform a program of Baroque, jazz and patriotic music.

The one-hour concert takes place in the University Club at the college’s Paul Robeson Campus Center. A meet-the-artists reception follows in the Paul Robeson Gallery, where visitors can view the current show "Hair" and enjoy refreshments.

The event is free and open to the public; groups of six or more should reserve seating by emailing occ@andromeda.rutgers.edu.
